Christina Kelly, a New York City artist, needed a new website to display her portfolio, in its many media forms and share her thoughts thru her blog. Leveraging WordPress, a custom theme was created using Bootstrap as the underlying structure and design. While Bootstrap provided the structure, WordPress added functionality by allowing oEmbed functionality with Vimeo; this allowed for a display of Christina’s video works to be played when a post was clicked. jQuery and JavaScript were added for allowing a unique reading experience, as users were given an excerpt of the post when they clicked on a thumbnail.
